Check your local Calaveras branch library for affordable books, magazines and videos on sale. Proceeds benefit the Friends of the Library. The Central Library Book Sale Room at the San Andreas Library is staffed by volunteers on Tuesdays and Thursdays – but it is open all week during library hours.

The Arnold Library has a gigantic book sale on Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends in addition to their in library sales through the year.

In addition, the Friends of the Calaveras County Library are participating members in Librarybooksales.org

The California State Library created Librarybooksales.org to enable under-funded, geographically remote libraries to raise much needed monies by providing a convenient point of sale. The project evolved as an offshoot of the California Rural Library Initiative and was supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act. By purchasing books directly from a library using this site you can be assured that the funds will promote literacy, purchase needed supplies, equipment and books.
Librarybooksales.org matches you with rare, collectible and quality books that have been donated to public libraries. To view this limited collection of special books for sale online by the Friends of the Calaveras County Library visit Librarybooksales.org. Choose "Browse" and then select "Calaveras" from the list of participating libraries. For the full selection of books for sale visit your local Calaveras Library.
